We had a wonderful time in Palo Alto working with Juan J. Alonso, Francisco Palacios and Thomas Economon from Stanford University on the extension of SU2 to deal with non-ideal compressible-fluid flows, together with Piero Colonna, Matteo Pini and Salvo Vitale from TU Delft.

Inaugural lecture of prof. Piero Colonna

On May 16th, prof. Piero Colonna gave his inaugural lecture at the Senaatszaal of the Aula, in Delft, as Full Professor of the Chair of Propulsion and Power of the Aerospace Faculty.

Visit of Dr. Matteo Pini and of Salvo Vitale

Matteo and Salvo from TUDelft will visit on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of June to initiate the collaboration on SU2 and prepare our visit to Stanford next July.

Seminar of prof. Tony Arts

Prof. Tony Arts, head of the Turbomachinery and Propulsion Department of the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, will give a lecture on Aerodynamics of low pressure turbines.

Location: Meeting Room of the Energy Dept. at 14.30 on the 21st of May.

CREALab Monday Morning Meeting (C3M)

Today we had the first CREALab Monday Morning Meeting (C3M) in the meeting room of the Department of Aerospace Science & Technology.

We brainstormed about the overall CREALab organization, the team composition and the lab scope.

Next meeting we'll be next Monday, the 12th, at 10 in the meeting room of the Department of Aerospace Science & Technology.
